Brief History: When you mention the SWF,
you can't do it without mentioning the
name Andy Runyon. This multi-time
champion began his career as a rule
breaker and had several major feuds with
the original Tower of Doom before finally
teaming with him to form Doom &
Destruction. He holds the record for
longest and shortest reigns as SWF
champion, has won more SWF Battle Royals
than anyone, and is known as one of the
most successful independent wrestlers
today. In the late 90's he formed the
"Outlaws", one of the top rated
teams on the indy circuit, before
violently disbaning the group in May of
'99 by attacking former friends Jay
Vastine and Chris Smith. Formed a huge,
evil alliance called Team Rage with his
nephew Tank, Mr. Hamblin, and eventually
even Chris Smith, which upset the very
foundation of the SWF. Has known
throughout his career as "The
Uncrowned Leader of the SWF", but at
SWF Unleashed '99 Andy revealed that, in
fact, he was the promoter and owner of
the SWF. He once again gained the respect
and admiration of the fans by leaving
Team Rage. Behind the scenes, Andy had a
great friendship with Major Massacre
(Chris Brown), until Brown revealed that
he had secretly bought half the SWF stock
shares out from under Runyon. Andy faced
Corporate Raider Chris Brown at Hardcore
Holiday '99, with control of the SWF at
stake and lost the match after
interference by both former friend Kid
Sensation Chris Smith and The Players
Club. Although he is no longer in control
of the SWF, 2000 was a pretty good year
for "The Outlaw", with him
gaining many wins against The Corporation
and The World Championship Wrestlers
(Wildcat Chris Harris & Prince
Justice)...and helping Randy The King
Allen rid the SWF of Chris Brown &
The Corporation. At Awesome April 2000,
Andy teamed-up with Ann-Marie Crooks
(formerly WCW's Midnight) to defeat
Harris & Justice in a wild match-up
that the fans of the SWF are not likely
to ever forget. In late 2000, Andy
rejoined Outlaw members Jay Vastine &
Chris Smith, along with Da' Bomb Dave
Hanney to reform The New Outlaws.
Currently The Attitude is embroiled in a
singles hardcore war with The Tower of
Doom, and along with the rest of The
Outlaws is begining what could become one
of the most brutal fueds that the SWF has
ever seen against The Mastermind's Army
of Darkness.
